Welcome to my home page

Present

I am associate professor (namely maître de conferences) at the University of Lorraine in Nancy, France

.doing research with the Orpailleur group, at the LORIA – INRIA Nancy-Grand Est,
.teaching Computer Science at TELECOM Nancy, an engineering school part of the University.

I’m interested in many aspects of bioinformatics
but focus mainly on biomedical knowledge discovery
and particularly knowledge discovery guided by domain knowledge.
Knowledge discovery can be defined as the process of identifying
new and relevant knowledge units from large amount of data.

I use these computer science approaches to study pharmacogenomics.
Pharmacogenomics is the study of how individual genomic variations influence drug response phenotypes.

Past

+ I was postdoctoral fellow at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Informatics Research (BMIR).
+ and did my PhD at the INRIA, in Nancy, France.       My dissertation, written in French, is available here.
